BART - General Engineering Services

BART is the fifth-busiest heavy rail rapid transit system in the U.S. and services an average of 433,000 weekday passengers in California’s Bay Area. The combined elevated and subway system connects San Francisco with cities in Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Mateo counties and operates five routes on 104 miles of track and 45 stations.

Since 2001, KKCS has completed several consecutive general engineering services contracts with BART. A variety of professional services have been performed under these contracts including engineering design, program management, design support during construction, office engineering, document control, scheduling, cost estimating, claims support, and inspection. KKCS has performed services for system-wide capital projects and maintenance improvements including work on stations, bridges, homeland security projects, maintenance and operations facilities, and communications/signal systems.
