LACDPW - Termino Avenue Storm Drain

Termino Avenue Storm Drain is a $22.65 million project that included the construction of a nearly two-mile-long storm drain system designed to bring much needed flood relief to the communities of southeast Long Beach. The new drainage system replaced an existing drain that was undersized to serve the needs of the watershed. This storm drain project required significant street resurfacing, traffic signal and street lighting upgrades, as well as electrical and fiber optic relocation.

KKCS effectively coordinated with the City of Long Beach, Southern California Edison, Verizon, Charter, and other utilities to properly phase construction. Services provided included construction management, office engineering, scheduling, and inspection. The proactive approach of KKCS achieved a four-month gain on the project schedule.
