Federal Transit Administration (FTA)

FTA is an agency within the US Department of Transportation that provides financial and technical assistance to local public transit agencies operating buses, subways, light rail, commuter rail, trolleys, and ferries. FTA invests billions of dollars annually through its Capital Investment Grant Program to support and expand public transit in the US.

Since 1999, KKCS has provided project management oversight (PMO) services on behalf of FTA on these large and complex transit project nationwide. KKCS acts as the eyes and ears of FTA to monitor best management practices and achievement of project objectives including scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety. This involves assessing the grantee's technical capacity and capability, scope/cost/schedule baselines, and risk management.

KKCS' PMO services emphasize sound project management and project control structures to ensure that public agencies execute projects efficiently, safely, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. PMO services have been performed on behalf of FTA for the following grantees:
