KKCS Steps Up Sponsorship

On May 29th, KKCS was the Gold Sponsor for a CMAA Southern California Chapter Dinner featuring Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority Capital Program Updates. Guest speakers included Don A. Sepulveda, PE – Executive Officer – Regional Rail and Ben Jong Transportation Manager – Highway Programs.

Regional rail includes all rail projects other than transit that Metro oversees this includes passenger rail, freight rail, and the California High-Speed Rail. Metro’s highway program includes sound wall improvements, EIR/EIS of existing highways, ExpressLanes, and highway/roadway improvements. Brett Rekola, Vice President of KKCS introduced both speakers.

On July 16th, KKCS co-sponsored the monthly luncheon for the ACEC Los Angeles County Chapter. This monthly luncheon featured topic was “Regional Rail, Commuter Rail, and High-Speed Rail in Southern California” and includes guest speakers Michelle Boehm Southern California Regional Director, California High-Speed Rail Authority, Albert V. Scala – Chief Project and Contract Compliance Officer, Southern California Regional Rail Authority (METROLINK), and Don A. Sepulveda, PE – Executive Officer – Regional Rail, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Dev Krishnan, ACEC Board Director will help introduce the speakers.
