In collaboration with the cities of Santa Ana and Garden Grove, the OC Streetcar will increase transportation options and provide better access along its 4.15-mile route connecting the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center to a new multi-modal transit hub on Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove. The OC Streetcar will directly connect with 18 OCTA bus routes and includes the construction of 10 stations, a new maintenance and storage facility, tracks, two bridges, an overhead contact system, four traction power substations, new traffic signals, and pedestrian improvements. The OC Streetcar will serve the historic downtown Santa Ana and Civic Center which includes government offices, federal, state and local courthouses, unique restaurants and shops, an artists’ village, several colleges, and a variety of community enrichment organizations.
KKCS is serving as the projects Quality Assurance Manager overseeing the quality process of OCTA’s staff and contractors/ consultants providing services on the project to ensure compliance with the Federal Transit Administration’s 15-element quality approach. KKCS also performed quality reviews of the 60%, 90%, 100% design estimates and performed quality review of the construction management procedures.
