Remembering Vahid Saedi

KKCS Family,
It is with great sadness that I am informing you of the passing of a member of the KKCS family. Vahid Saedi passed on Saturday 10/3/2020 after being hospitalized with pneumonia while battling cancer. Working as a KKCS Vice President in the Los Angeles Office, Vahid was one of the longest-tenured employees in the history of the company. He had a profound impact on this firm and the people who work here.
Vahid started with the firm 26 years ago and many current and former employees have had the pleasure to have benefitted from his hard work, thoughtful mentorship, and wisdom. Vahid, a MSIE graduate of Oregon State University, spent his career on infrastructure projects that benefit society as a whole. He worked on many projects for the firm in both schools and transportation, most recently spending more than 10 years on the I-405 Widening Project in Los Angeles and ending as the Deputy PM where he continued to work on claims and close-out.
Some of the staff affectionately called Vahid “Yoda” (from Star Wars fame) partly because of his stature, but mostly because he was usually the wisest person in the room. Over the past couple of years, he transitioned to also helping run the operations of the LA office and mentored many of us. At home, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his granddaughters whom he often talked about. We will miss Vahid; may he rest in peace.
- Dev A. Krishnan, President & CEO
