KKCS Appoints Derec Persaud as Director of Project Controls

Kal Krishnan Consulting Services, Inc. (KKCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Derec Persaud, CCM, PMP, LEED® AP as Director of Project Controls based in the Northeast. Mr. Persaud has over 25 years of experience in management of new building construction, exterior and interior renovation, and addition and rehabilitation projects.

Mr. Persaud’s experience is in the private and public sectors as well as the US Military throughout the Northeast from New York to Washington D.C. He has a strong background in cost estimating, conducting building system inspections and commissioning.

KKCS enthusiastically welcomes Mr. Persaud to the KKCS family of professionals. His expertise will be invaluable in serving our public, private and transportation facilities clients throughout the country. “I am very happy to be able to bring Derec to KKCS. Prior to joining KKCS, Mr. Persaud served as Senior Project Manager at STV. Derec has worked with the Port Authority of New York New Jersey, New York City Department of Design and Construction, and the US Military Academy at West Point, New York as a Cost Estimator. He was a Project Manager and Field Supervisor for New York City Housing Authority and New York City Board of Education. For the New York City School Construction Authority, Derec served as a Senior Project Engineer.

Mr. Persaud holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guyana and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Columbia University. Additionally, he is a Project Management Professional, Certified Construction Manager, LEED Accredited Professional, and holds a HVAC Systems, Equipment and Design Certificate from New York University.
